About The Curragh

The Curragh Racecourse, the home of Irish flat racing, is based in County Kildare, Ireland.

The racecourse is home to Ireland’s five most important flat races, known as the Classics. Racing takes place 24 days each year from the mid-March until early November. Guided tours of the venue are available outside of race days.

The Goffs Champagne Bar, in partnership with our official champagne partner Moët & Chandon, is open to all racegoers. It is located to the right of the entrance on the terrace above the lawn. Racegoers attending this summer will have the chance to sip on Moët & Chandon’s award-winning champagnes. The perfect way to celebrate any win, big or small.

Shuttle Buses

FREE Shuttle Buses on Race Days

The Curragh offer a complimentary return bus service from Kildare train Station and town centre for all 24 fixtures. For 2025, the bus service for Newbridge train station and town centre will be in operation for our opening fixture on Sunday 16th March, all Classic Weekends and The Newbridge Parishes Race Day on BH Monday 5th May.

Buses are scheduled with Irish Rail’s main train arrival and departure times in mind and will be updated in the days leading up to the fixture which can be viewed via the link below. Please note that this is a complimentary service and it does not run non stop throughout the day.
