About World Pool
World Pool is an exciting version of international commingling, combining the finest racing from around the globe with the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s betting operation, which boasts the deepest and most liquid pari-mutuel pools on the planet.
World Pool Event
The first World Pool event took place at Royal Ascot in 2019. Since the launch it has expanded to meetings including the Dubai World Cup at Meydan, the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the English Oaks and Derby at Epsom in the United Kingdom, Gold Cup day and Champions Cup day in South Africa and Irish Champions Day at Leopardstown in Ireland.
World Pool Event
For the first time, World Pool, the largest globally commingled horse racing pools created and powered by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), will be active for both the English G1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas (May 5) at Newmarket and the G1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas (May 26) at the Curragh in 2024.

The Curragh Classic will be joined by the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup on the same card, with punters from 28 countries able to bet into the same pools on both contests.
