Henri Matisse, Hotazhell and Bedtime Story set for Curragh this Saturday

The Curragh stages a quality 8 race programme this Saturday 24th August as the third of the FBD Hotels and Resorts Saturday Series

The main focus will be on the stars of the future as some of our leading two year olds line up in the two feature races.

Henri Matisse, winner of the GAIN Railway Stakes, heads the small but select field of four in the Coolmore Stud Wootton Bassett Irish EBF Futurity Stakes, with stable companion Rock of Cashel also in the line, in addition to the Jessica Harrington trained two time winner Hotazhell and Scorthy Champ, trained by Joseph O’Brien, an impressive maiden winner at Leopardstown last May.

The unbeaten Bedtime Story trained by Aidan O’Brien is one of 6 fillies in the line up in the Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes, in addition Aidan O’Brien will be represented by Bubbling and Exactly, while the Group 2 contact has also attracted Senna’s Girl trained by Diego Dias and Barnavara trained by Jessica Harrington.

There are 15 runners in the opening Coolmore Stud The Antarctic IEBF Maiden, 18 in the FBD Hotels and Resorts Castleknock Hotel Maiden, 11 in the Neville O’Byrne Memorial IEBF Handicap, 23 in the Donohue Marquee Handicap and 15 in the FBD Hotels and Resorts Saturday Series Handicap.
